If you referring to the white blob in the centre of the pic, hard to see, but looks like some form of sponge.

Damsels are fine, but will become a problem as your confident grows and you want to add other fish. They will bully the new additions. A couple of clowns should be fine.

The black stuff looks like some form of sponge, not the most attractive colour, but it also comes in other colours such as blue & yellow. That said, normally its fine, but sometimes can become invasive. The purple stuff below it, is Green Star Polyps.

I can assure you I am the owner of the image, and blanked out the name out of respect for the forum, additionally I haven't had the need to mention the website as you guys have done a excellent job of promoting the site and fighting my corner.

Needless to say, i'm a little disappointed in the reaction I have received from you guys, especially when I don't contribute to many forums and the main content of this thread found on page one was provided by myself. I guess, a fine example of forums.

I'm curious as to why you doubt I'm the owner of that image and it brings so much hostility with it.

How many bulbs do you have? I would agree with the above,most softies should be fine, but obviously, you may find the true/desired coral colouration may not come out under T8's and/or certain corals may sulk and only survive and not thrive. Stu
