I have at current a huge cylinder tank with fire eels, Oscars, and Silver sharks.
My 4yr old son has a 275L tank (tropical) with all the small easy going fish that he sits and watches for hours on end, and my smallest son has a cold water starter tank with a few goldfish of various colours !!!
