You should need a power head for current. I would also say to wait a week before adding fish. Make sure you can test your water for nitrate and stuff. and if this is your first salt water you should practice balencing the salinity and testing every thing. Good luck :D

i thought bio balls were a no-no in marine tanks? :unsure: bio filtration produce nitrite which isn't desirable in saltwater. but i could be wrong, i am very new to saltwater but i have spent almost four months studying this stuff hope that helps

When they swim past the in flowing water it moves them about 1/2 an inch toward the glass. they dont seem to mind they sort of play in the current. the fish in the tank are listed in my signature or my profile :D

I had about 10 glass shrimp when i got my fiddler crabs and by morning i just had two very full crabs. :crazy: So you might have difficulty with keeping shrimp with crabs as the might also descide that shrimp sound good. but feeder shrimp can be bought cheaply. ;)

yes dannios are egg-layers. in fact they usually will scatter eggs in the morning right after feeding. :D dont worry the pecking will work out its self. :whistle:

well she was not pregnant becouse bn and catfish in general are egg layers. but when i lost my fish i posted in the emergency section and i was told it was internal parasites or dropsy. :dunno: but hopefully someone else with experence could lend their opinon. :whistle:

I dont really know if my fish are loney or actually trying to reproduce. :*) I have two kinds of cory fish and they are forever "mateing". they are panda and leopard corys and they seem to be of opposite sex, the leopards are both female and the pandas are both male. they are constantly T-ing...

oh my that is a horrible story. the tank is actually only 3.17 US gallons and not even five, though both are bad. :angry: I wish people would research for their pets sake. The only hope is that maybe they will all be reincarnated as goldfish. :D

most likely it is a female that is egg layen but it is not pregnant. :fun: danios are egg layers and they are also schooling fish that need to be kept in groups of 5 or 6. try to research your fish. did you actually cycle the tank. even if the water tested ok if it has not cycled it can only...
