Ive been doing a fish cycle thanks to maidenhead aquatics. Dont worry about your readings few water changes will sort that out. My readings were 2.0 for ammonia, soon droped after water changes. Hope this helps

I always use filter start when adding new sponges etc. The people at maidenhead aquatics told me it wouldnt hurt to add another to help with the good bacteria to bring the ammonia levels down.
