Thanks for the replies so far. Durbkat, yes he looks exactly like that one. I don't have readings to hand, I just get them checked at the LFS. They have been checked recently and are ok. I will get my own test kit soon.

I have a community tak with small fish such as Guppies, Mollies, Neons and 2 Zebra Danios and one Gold Sucking Loach. I have often found the loach chasing some of the fish around the tank for a couple of seconds. Recently I have lost a Danio and some Neons without any bodies to be found...

Hi I turned my filter off on my Rio 125 because I needed the socket for a minute. But like an idiot forgot to put it back in. :angry: It's been off for about 15 hours. Is it likely to be ok??

Ok thanks. I'll probably leave it. My girlfriend would probably drown me in the tank if anything happened to her guppies - or Tango, Rainbow, Twinkie and sparky as they are now!

Thanks for replying. 125 litres is about 33 gallons (US). They had panda and zebra angels. They just had black markings on them. By the way that is one scary sig pic! :o

Does anyone think I'll have a problem with a panda angel being kept with guppies? On another note my 125litre tank has only 4 guppies in at the moment. I bought some kind of tetra can't remember what but they went mad in the tank after an hour and started attacking the guppies relentlessly...

I've been having a look around the internet on this one. It seems that if you add salt to the ratio of 1 teaspoon per 5 gallon then this won't effect other fish who don't need salt. Hope this is sound advise i've been given!

Hi I've got some guppy and was told by the LFS to add salt to the water. What I wondered was, do other tropical fish that don't require the salt be ok in this tank?

I feel a bit silly asking this question! :*) Where do most people attach their tank background, inside the tank or just tape it on the outside? Thanks!

Is it possible to just use fake plants in an aquarium, and have no real plants in at all. I would mch prefer to do it this way if it is possible. Are there any downsides or upsides to doing it this way? Also, the shop where I purchased the tank from told me to set it up and wait 2-3 weeks...
