Plants Dying
Have you used any medication lately? Also if you have not dosed then the plants may have completely pulled all of the nutrients out of the water. Reduce lighting and dose plants again perhaps.- cwis2222

Uv For Bacterial Bloom?
The UV will clear it but you might end up getting a green water algae bloom from the ammonia that will be released from the dead bacteria.- cwis2222
