I love the Kribs, and especially love the Harlequin Rasboras. Harleys are some of my favorite shoaling/schooling fish.

I just put Tiger Barbs in with my Jack Dempsey pair. So far, they've been great, and the Tiger Barbs act as dither fish for the Jacks. I also keep Plecos with my Jacks. Let me know what you find out with the Convicts. I think you might have some fights on your hands.

That is definitely an odd looking fish. But it is an abnormal growth, that makes much more sense.

Keeping it plugged in and in as much water as possible, remove the magnetic propeller and then push it back in. Sometimes you have to hand prime them to get them to start. If that doesn't work, usually you can get parts on Amazon.com

I breed these guys, they are fun. It's interesting to see them fight for food and territory. They just kinda whack each other with their faces and tails. I have some wicked bristles on my males. I'll see if I can get some pics later!

I'm telling you 100%. There have been some that have gotten past me. These were easy compared to others I've seen. And these fish are actually further along that most that I've been asked to sex before on other sites. This was easy.

Alasse, I've read and found that a drop in temperature and then slowly bringing the temp back up will actually cause them to spawn because you are simulating rainy season.

I hope they do too, but keep in mind they may continue to eat eggs for several spawnings. They may also eat the fry once they are hatched. It's a bad habit that may require you to separate the eggs if you want fry.

I'm here today to announce the passing of my beloved EBJD. He went belly up Sunday and could not be revived. I tried to help but nothing brought him back. I'm gonna miss the most beautiful EBJD specimen I have seen in person. He was truly an awesome pet!  

Anyone else want to chime in? Shoud I use melafix (API antibac) or stick with epsom salt?
