Just to say thank you to all who have written very informative posts on tropical fish particularly for those new to the hobby. Like many - when i decided to start i had no idea about caring for fish (and was about to put some into my tank instantly) and this forum has helped me cycle my tank...

2 corydoras 1 platy 1 guppy 6 neon tetras and 6 baby platy's - the males of which will be going to the LFS once they are big enough. Its a 10 gallon tank with plenty of plants so not much room for any more than 1 or 2 additional fish.

Thanks. Are there any other good community fish which a guppy cant actually breed with? Maybe one would lessen the stress on the platy i have.

Hi. My platy gave birth last week and a few days before, it was constantly hassled by my male guppy. Aparantly looking for first refusal on any eggs. However one week later and it still swims after the platy even though it has already had its babies. The platy is starting to get cheesed off...
