My 75 is 18 1/2 inches deep

Ive got it on the 75 and i think its plenty of light.

will a 48 inch fluval 3.0 be enough to be low to med light on a 75 gallon tank. I have the light on my 55 gallon but wanna upgrade to a 75 gallon or will i need to lights for low to med light plants on the 75 gallon?

The white worms could be detritus worms which are completely harmless

best thing you can do is keep your ammonia and nitrite and 0. if you have to do daily water changes to maintain 0 ammonia and 0 nitrite then do water changes everyday til you system balances out.

Most people recommend antibiotics because they have live plants.

Its hard to tell. Just keep the water clean and the fins should grow back with time. You could treat with an anti bacterial to help prevent infection. not sure which meds are available to you.

I think its from nipping too. Barbs can beat on each other pretty good.

I'm not sure if you have access to this med in Scotland but erythromycin is effective against fin rot.
