please could someone tell us what we are doing wrong , it all started off with a amonia spike to which we put in ammolock which seemed to work, then it was a nitrate spike which we controlled by less feeding.then we noticed that they began to rub there gills on the gravel nitrate rose but not to...

we did do this when we had the spike and it did seem to make things better, we will continue this .thanks for the advice.glad to know we where doing the right thing

difficult to give amonia reading as we were advised to put ammolock in and reading has been high ever since,so therefore ammolock is doing its job.nitrite nitrate are spot on ph 7.4 so is okay.gills are not red or imflammed.tank has been set up for 5 weeks.

just got over a spike on the amonia ,but fish are stil rubbing tHERE gills along the gravel.is this anything to worry about
