60 litre 15 gallons tank 2 red honey gouramis 2 pearline Gouramis 1 sunset platty 2 blue platty 2 clown loaches 1 ruby shark 4 mollies (2 male 2 female) 2 neon tetra 2 red platty 1 Bristlenose May not be enough places for them to hide....

We have a Ruby shark and two red honey gouramis. The gouramis are being chased by the Ruby. Is there anything we can do?

We have a minor problem with algae. Its the long, black, fine type and its attached to the top of the castle and also to the plants in the tank. I need to know how to get rid of this as my dad had this before and had major problems. He had to change everything in his tank to get rid of it...

Our tank is full of live plants... and we have a bristlenose too...

okay i need to replace my filter foam. the old foam will be full of bacteria.... how do i go about getting the new one ready? do i just bite the bullet and stick it in? Also the stones in my tank are getting covered in algae. is there any way to slow this down? TIA :)

anyone know any good ideas for stopping the pump from slipping down the wall of the tank - ours doesnt seem to want to stay put! :rolleyes: : also we seem to have grown thousands of snails out of nowhere - does anyone know how to get rid of these? any better methods than trying to just pick...

Just came back from holiday to find 6 baby mollies! :) Couldn't believe it :) Prob is now we have snails!

on a brighter note.... We have two blue platys and lucy just noticed that one has a gravid spot!!! :D :D :D :D Does anybody know how long it takes from thew time of appearance of the gravid spot till you get little baby platys appearing? :rolleyes:

i posted a few days ago regarding a platty that i thought was too big. Had thought it was a female but as it turns out... its a male. The anal fin is pointed..

the other thing i noticed is she spends a lot of time on the bottom at the back just sitting there... other fish have done this and died soon after! :(

where do you find the gravid spot?? excuse my ignorance!! :S

needing some advice! we bought what we were told was a platty but he seems to have turned into a swordtail (! shop got it wrong) but trouble is he seems to be chasing everything in site - platties , dwarf gouramis and mollies all alike! do we need to get a fellow swordtail for him to play with...
