looks well :hyper: imo you should change those t5 nature tubes to daylight tubes.. believe me it would make a big difference! your water would look alot clearer without the yellow tinge the nature tubes give out.. that was the first step i took when i got my rio 300!

im not sure if it would work but how about trying to make a 'freshwater refugium' in the filter compartment, add a couple of moss balls and a submersible light. food for thought thats all :lol:
had you 'excess nitrates'? how if you have such a low stocking density? surely nitrates couldnt be that much of a problem :P whats you water change routine?
sell the internal on ebay, ive seen them go for about £55-60 on ebay new! that would buy you a fluval 205 new or a used 305/405? or if your an eheim person a 2213?
lovely tank, been after one for ages now but i couldnt afford to splash out £700-800 on a tank lol. you'll notice it will look alot smaller.. just give it time :D
i might be up for posting some fish in a while if you are intrested? ive got metriaclima callainos ('f1' dad 'tb' mother)at 1 1/2" now and ive also got some yellow labs (no barring great quality f2 parents). have you any photos of your setup id love to see it!
thanks for the list. its not a definate that im going for it. ive been thinking about all shrimp, but ive no experience what so ever with live plants, although i have done my fair share of reading about them!.. id be on a budget of £170 at the minute.. anyone think up of something else?
