    Disney World Visit

I just returned from a vacation to disney world last week and took some videos... I've already posted one of them here. First, is the eel tank at Epcot: Here is a cuttlefish display. I am pretty sure those are cuttlefish eggs at the end of the video. to be continued...

Video Of African Cichlids & Hippo

I had a chance to go to animal kingdom in disney world last week and got some video of their african cichlid & hippo display: If you get bored, skip to the end - the hippo is quite cool...

    Fish Id Help

I spent last week snorkeling around Panama City, FL and found these fish in a bay on Shell Island in St. Andrews State Park: Can anyone tell me what kind of fish this is? There were thousands of them - some about 4-6", and some 1.5-2.5", both with very similar markings. In the bay, they had...

Advice On A 55G Set Up

I have a 55G community tank that was wiped out on Wednesday - we lost power and my battery powered air pump apparently pumped some goo into the tank. Anyhow, only the plec and 3 adolescent angels survived. I lost a 5 year old angel from the first batch of fry I had even raised :( I moved the...

    Your Single Most Useful Item

Definitely the python. I am not sure how someone would manage a large tank without one.

    My Dad Asked Me....

I have numerous tanks on the second floor. In fact, I have a 125G tank on my second floor bedroom. My house is standard wood frame construction, but only about 5 years old. One think I have done is set my tanks on load bearing walls. This means that there isn't a lot of strain on the floor...

    Rena Xp 1?

I would agree on the XP2 recommendation. XP1 is a waste, just like the XP4 is a waste. 2 and 3 are the sweet spot.

    Breeding Angels

I have a pair that lays eggs every 8 days. I have another pair that lays eggs whenever they feel like it - 30 days, 10 days, 60 days. Never can tell. I think their are not strongly paired.

    Pictures Of My Babies!

That is pretty much what I am observing. They will both "leave the nest" for short periods - the male longer than the female. The female seems to be going out on a scouting trip, either looking for errant fry or invaders - not certain. The tank is super heavily planted with lots of hiding...

    Pictures Of My Babies!

I am feeding them Hikari First Bites. They are loving it. I will hatch some BBS in a few days when they are a bit bigger.

    Pictures Of My Babies!

My Guianacara geayi have apparently been busy. I came in after getting home from work and saw this: Sorry about the picture quality. I was rather excited at the time. I have several more pictures here: http://www.aquariu.ms/images/main.php?g2_itemId=865 Interestingly, I have a pair of...

    Goldfish In A Small Container

I'm happy to say that the first goldfish I bought went into a 3000G pond. Mostly because I joined this forum first :)

    Rams And Angels Together?

I have been doing this for quite a while in 29G and 125G tanks - with many angels in the 125G and a mated pair in the 29G, never saw any issues. The angels and rams pretty much leave each other alone, unless there are eggs. Then it can get pretty ugly, but both types of fish seem to know to...

Would Angel Fish Eat Endler's Livebearers?

Yes, but then it depends on the particular angel.

What Brand Of Canister Filter Do You Feel Is The Best Overall?

I've found the rena xp filters to be quite cost effective and reliable. I have 3 XP2s, 2 XP3's and an XP4. I pretty much took the approach of "pick one and stick with it". I have found that to be good - it allows me to easily change filters without having to move hoses, etc. I suspect you...
