wow thanks for all the helpful information it has helped me a lot with my stocking ideas, the tank in question will be around 7 or 8 gallons. i like the idea of a small community of tetra but not sure which ones are best. what about, 1 ram, 5 neon tetra and 2 cory? would that work in a 7-8...

i am planning on getting a small tank and i was wondering if anyone could help me by telling me what the best shoaling fish are that are small? Also can anyone tell me which fish are able to be kept with dwarf puffers? And the minimum size the tank would have to be to contain a ram or a pair...

They have cories, an angel, platies and a bristlenose plec. Also interested in black skirt tetra and cardinal tetra, dwarf puffers, loaches, plecs and small gourami.

this tank is going to be a present for someone who already keeps tropical fish but i am organising it myself and dont hav much experience. guppies sound lyk a good idea.
