I personally use pool filter sand in all my tanks. love the looks of it as it is brownish, have rocks stacked for caves. Very natural looking.

I cycled the tank using the add and wait method with some slightly used media I do believe that is what they are. Now the question is, how did they get in there?! 

They are almost microscopic. I almost didn't see them until I started looking everything over in the tank and was like...wth is that. They look like they are white.

I have a new tank that I setup ( 55g ), cycled it to get ready to move some fish around. Before any fish have even gone into it, I have noticed little white worms swimming around!  :/   What are they and how did they get in there?!?!

Yes, it is API Liquid. Problem is, I bought it on Ebay because none of my lfs carry this stuff. LFS say there is no need to test the water for it, But if you buy a fish from them and it dies, You return the fish and have to give them a water sample and they test for it :/

But I've never had it turn blue or yellow  The directions say to add 1 drop, the color of the water will turn blue then keep adding until the color turns yellow ( shaking in between drops ). Mine stays clear even at 12 drops   That's for the Kh

I currently bought a kh and gh liquid test kit. A little confused. I'm setting up a new 55g tank ( fishless cycle ). When I test the KH, the color of the water will turn from blue to yellow is what the directions say. I have gone as high as 12 drops and it has never turned blue. Am I doing...

All you needed was Seachem Prime. Prime does the exact same thing that Amquel does and the Prime will also remove metals from the water. They over sold you. If you can, Return the Amquel and just use Prime. Follow the directions on the bottle exactly!

My pair of kribs had fry about 4 weeks ago. Now the male has lost all his color and is trying to hide away from the female now. Every time he comes out of hiding, she chases him around the tank. they have been getting along perfectly fine up until now. What is happening?

You could do a pair of Kribensis in a 20g tank.

From what I understand about reading up on this type of stuff ( could be wrong ) that Tetra SafeStart is made by a former employee of Dr Tims.

I have bought plants online from liveaquaria.com. There are many groups on facebook ( ie, California cichlid breeders, cichlid classified usa) that have many breeders on them. Another good one is Aquabid.com. Ebay sometimes has good deals. I get my fish from one lfs and no one else personally...

What I did was cut a piece of tubing from the line i'm using, pinched off the end, sealed it with duct tape and put it on the outlet I wasn't going to be using. No noise anymore!
