Please explain this daily fasting more. Why?

I have an over sized heater in my tank. Long as its working shouldn't be a problem.

I would be carefull I once had a piece of wood from outside, I soaked it in water and when I was home changed it often with new boiling water. Ended up with some strange mold on the wood when I put it in my tank. Took it out after a few days.

A LFS told me it was OK to keep my new baby Oscar in a 20gallon tank. 1st tank and fish. Oscar was soon rehomed and I discovered the world of online fish forums. 8 years later things a very different living in the world of long lived fish and CO2 injected systems.

I had a spotted perch for many years was one of my favorite fish. Very interesting to watch. I had it paired with Congo tetras and emperor tetras a gold gourami and a bristle nose pleco all got along fine. They are slow eaters so make sure yours is getting its fill. Not sure about the loach...

Its a Synodontis nigriventris I have 2. I see one all the time the larger one never comes out. When I do see em its pretty round and healthy looking.

Anyone have a fish they wish they saw more? I have an upside down catfish I see maybe once every 3 months. It lives in a crack on some driftwood. Now that my flame moss has over taken the wood I'll never see him again.

All the driftwood in my tank is from foster and smith. I just rinsed under hot water to get and dust and loose debri off. No problems.

I have 2 65k and 2 full spectrum bulbs over my 55 US gallon tank. I'm due for some new bulbs and can't decide. I'm going to stick with a 65k but wonder what else I should look at getting. My lighting will total 4 bulbs, 24 watt, 24". So my question is what's working for you to keep your...

I have never ordered from them but my friend ordered a SW lion fish and it arrived just fine.

I think the most important thing is to fall flat on your face.  Then to regroup figure out what went wrong and try again.  I am on my second planted tank, its been going for almost a year and a half and it starting to look like what I want.  Just when I think ive got it i learn more or something...

Everytime I take my filter apart all I find is trumpet snails! I can't seem to rid myself of those Lil guys.

Duckweed or dwarf baby tears looks like. No harm it will most likely grow like crazy.

Are you adding any ferts? If not the one plant that is growing is using all of the nutrients. The hair grass just doesn't have any food.
