Does anyone have any idea if there is such a things as poison algae. My water parameters are fine so I know that is not the problems. Every time I put any fish in that eat algae they die. I have had various L numbers, ansistras and common flying fox - but they all die!! Any ideas?

Does anyone know what the maintenance schedule is for a Aquaone CF-1000 canister filter - i.e how often the carbon, bio balls etc should be changed/rinsed etc???

If I move my existing filter (Fluval 205 external canister filter) over to the other tank today and move my fish over today. How long is it likely to be until the Fluval can be removed, leaving the Aquaone by itself?

I have had the discus for a week, it is in a tank with 4 other discus and other fish. Nothing appears to be bothering it, it was fine until today, all the other discus seem fine as do all the other fish in the tank. Can anyone explain the comment above about repeating the treatment ?

What do you mean 'repeat the treatment'? I normally just treat with the required amount of protozin on days 1, 2, 3 and 6.
