Hi I have a 125 litre tank that has 8-10 live plants in it,also has a spray bar attached to agitate the water etc. My question is do you think my tank would benefit any if i was to put a air stone in it?

I only put in what my fish will eat i have 2 bronze cories so maybe some of the pellets don't get eaten as i feed them at night its hard to say for sure.. i always give my plants a really good rinse and soak before hand too someone suggested some peroxide? to wipe over the plants first then...

I have a tropical tank and it was suggested to me to use aquairium salt in it as well like 50mg per gallon of water what would be its purpose? is it nessecary? do you add it when doing a water change or just in general like once a week ?

I have the same filter as you do and i what i do with mine is that every month i change the filter wool that sits on top of the biomax tray by half like you but i don't ever change the biomax unless they are down right dirty and used to much, if you wash/rinse out the biomax in the tank water...

just did it although i think i added a bit too much clove oil,i had a look after i put him i, the bathroom by the window as i wanted him somewhere where i couldn't see him and to be honest that was silly of me as i saw him on the bottom lifeless but i saw his mouth move and now i feel even worse...

your right i know it too its just trying to compose yourself to just do it... i have the clove oil ready as i have picked this method as i don't think physically i could bash or cut the head of a fish..so a quick beer and then i think i'll just do it.. R.I.P my little friend...

ah ok so i will go back to stress zyme then and hopefully my readings will be accurate within a few hundred water changes lol now i am off to the chemist to buy some clove oil for my deed later on i may just buy some jd to help me too this sucks

thanks i appreciate it, i'll take out the amonia remover during tomorrows water change and replace it with some sponge as i have 2 draws full of biomax at the moment. i when i clean the filter i always wash/rinse the biomax in the same tank water that i have taken out and i haven't replaced any...

thanks fluttermouth for diagnosing for me i did reply to your message regarding my tank etc can you have a look and see if i am doing anything wrong? would be appreciated. upon reading more about dropsy etc i realise i have to be humane and do the decent thing and thats proving to be hard for me...
