ty funkycat i'll have to visit my lfs and take a look at the fish you recommended

what attracted me to those cichlids was the nice dark blue color. i've seen blue platty's (not exactly what i'm looking for) and Blue Gourami (all which were more ridescent with a hint of blue). Is there maybe another fish i might look at to go with either the bala shark or the catfish shark?

Depending on where i read I get different answers on Bala Sharks and Cichlids in the same tank. To start the water i currently have 2 Goldfish and a pleco and the tank water is holding. I could care less about the goldfish and will get rid of them eventually. Currently 10gal tank but will be...
