So I've been sold a comet that is only suitable for a pond?? From a centre that had a load of pond fish at one end and tank fish at the other! i don't understand. Where do I go from here then?

Hello, just done a water test on my goldfish tank and the nitrate level are high. Around 80ppm. How can I bring this down? Is is normal for a new tank?

Well I have a fluval 4. I was wondering whether I needed to upgrade. I never had water issues before once the tank was cycled so I assume this filter is enough. Although the tank is 4 foot it's one of the thinner ones, 175litres.
