    Classification of Coral

Not a fish. They are invertebrates, a type of Cnidarian. Other Cnidarians would be jellyfish, anenomes and the hydra we see in out tanks. So they don't classify as fish. But this would pose the question, could I submit a picture of my pet hydra? I don't pay much attention to these contests, so...

    Identification please

She was correct, false Julii Corydoras are Corydoras trilineatus, like the OPs fish. False julii isn't their real name, they should be called three lined or three striped corydoras.

    Repashy food - opinions?

A few species of Stiphodon as well as Schismatogobius ampluvinculus. I used to have Rhinogobius but not anymore.

    Repashy food - opinions?

Repashy have some excellent foods, some of the best I've fed tbh. Fish go nuts for the stuff, including my gobies.

    Honey Gourami Discoloration

Those aren't honey gouramis, those are thick lipped gouramis. It's natural for that colour variant to go darker over time (particularly the males). They both look male as well, which can end badly.

My new Salt & Pepper Corys arrived!

It makes your statement of "They can live up to 40 years, in the wild. (Or in ideal conditions - rarely in captivity)" less accurate. But that's not the point.

My new Salt & Pepper Corys arrived!

They don't live to 40 years in the wild. There is little information as to the lifespan in the wild, but in many cases fish won't live as long in the wild as in captivity. The oldest Corydoras that Ian Fuller reported seeing in captivity was a 42 years old Corydoras aeneus, but that was an...

    What's your Favourite Tetra?

Yeah, probably group size. I had 10 and they were great. The way the male sparred each morning was most impressive.

What is this on my BN Pleco?

Usually it'll be as an act of self defense or territorial flaring. My plecos will flare at my Corydoras when if they are getting too picky with the food he is trying to eat. They will also use these spines when combating each other, this thread has an example of this. They can do some damage as...

What is this on my BN Pleco?

Watch the initial video, now watch this Looks exactly the same to me. Only in the case they are infected odontodes and the pleco flaring them in annoyance/pain... Exact same placement, exact same shape. Exact same flaring, I don't see any mysterious tentacle creature

What is this on my BN Pleco?

Eh. Are you sure that movement wasn't the pleco trying to flare it's cheek odontodes?
