I prefer to keep water as clean as possible. I don't drink tap water so why should my fish. That's the way I see it. Just wondering if there was an alternative.

That is extensive thank you! The light comes with it. Like a filter light combo but the filter sprays water out of the top. Quite nice once on. The only thing I do not have is a heater. It usually looks like this when not stored in the garage for a couple of years :) (not my image)
