can anyone give me advice on how to get rid of snails please, i have an infesation of snails and it is making my tank look really horrible so i would love to know a quick fix,,,,, thanks

I was going away overnight on sat so put in a weekend feeder block when i returned on saunday afternoon my tank was all whit mist. I think it might have been the block was maybe out of date but don't really know. I am losing fish all the time and need to sort this problem quickly can anyone help...
