Check out my posts under the name of Briobug. I have finally just gotten my boys back in shape.
My last update is still on this first page of Emergency section. It's titled 'Things are looking up...'
Is it anything like that? It's like my guy just lost all pigment. There was nothing...
I think this whole mess started about the end of September.

November 28th This was a couple of days ago.
December 1st. These are today's photos. Very brown now but still no spots have come back yet. Still keeping my fingers crossed.
Isn't this...
Wow, that sounds yucky.
I've done the freezing thing too. But it was just scooping out tank water so there's no shock and put in the freezer in a small glass. But really this isn't the most human? I haven't shocked them with ice water. Just slow temp change.
Oh boy it's a terrible...
I give them fresh spinach that has been momentarily scalded. They love it all. Being in Northern China I'm really having a difficult time getting the things that are easily gotten back home. Canned spanich, haven't seen. Fresh peas, haven't seen for a couple of months, and then they're very...
synodontis eupterus 'featherfin'
Yup sure is. Just not looking as beautiful as they were 3 months ago. Yes, this has progressed slowly over the last few months. But their colour is coming back. I just hope the one that went really white will get his beautiful spots back. So sad.
This was my big cat at about the worst about a week and a half ago.
Now these two are from today. The flash still washes out his colour but he is really looking amazing and quite dark.
This is my other cat. He never progressed to the point as the first one but he is almost back to...
Ya I feed veggies every day in my tank. I have a big ol' pleco and two huge cats that need this veggie matter.
What is you experience about loose veggie matter in the tank? I don't have a problem with this stuff fluffing around when they swim by it. I'm more concerned if there is a problem...
Sorry I wasn't able to view the video. I was just going by the photo.
Okay I was able to just view the video. Sorry ha ha, my bad. Those would be Mexican Jumping snails.....
They look like baby snails to me. That close up is really clear. You can see that little cone shape. I think they are just your basic variety of Gilled Snails. Or Physa Snail, Pouch Snail, Tadpole Snail...these types.
Upsid down cats are said to be very social. I read somewhere that you should have at least two or three together. This is what I read. Can anyone confirm that.
I have two big one's and they are always together where swimming around the tank or hiding. Always together.
Well, several months ago my tank focus was on two tanks with a turtle in each. I bought tons of plants and really didn't care about snails and actually wanted the buggers to get in my tanks. My turtles were very, very effective killers. Anyhoo, the snails never took.
Many many people say ya...
Yup, barbs are pretty aggressive but also angels. Danios are pretty chilled. I say it's the barbs for sure. The can really, really, disturb the harmony of a tank. I don't keep them any more.
Well, someone said it. Black skirt tetras!
Even..OMG, let me count back in years.....I have to get my toes out, how friggen old am I? Even 12 or 14 years ago I was told and learn about the cycle of a tank. And what was recommended to me was black skirt tetras. Yes they are very hardy, I...
Oh I should say...what's the deal with the dead h2o? We wanna avoid it? I'll consider moving my intake, output to different ends. I just wonder, which would be better to put by my bubbler the intake or output?
