Is it the missing lid and inccorect pads causing it to suck air or making it to where I have to prime it to stop crackling

If I prime it a few times the noise will go away I checked all the grey rubber pieces everything is tight the only thing I can think thats leaking air is the thing on top that controls water flow where the tubes go out and in

I bought a new head and I have the same symptoms but when it makes the noise if I pull the primer and do it a few times it goes away for a while

Do u think the red piece that the hoses connect to on the top of the filter is leaking air?

That's like the same symptoms

It will work good for 7h then start the noise and I tried to get it to stop making the noise trying to move it around but never did anything

I bought a fluval 207 the impeller is making a crackling noise after a while so I bought a rebuild kit and yet after a few hours it eventually makes a loud non stop crackling noise and sometimes it's worse at full throttle what could this possibly be it's annoying
