    75 Gallong Angelfish Tank

Saw my RTS getting chased around by the large Jet Black angel who my wife has named Vader.  It appears he rules the tank.  First time I've ever seen an RTS get chased around.  The RTS is now back at the bottom part of the tank...apparently that's his designated spot.

    My Axolotl 20Gal Tank

I looked at those before.  They look great.  I think the ambient temperature here in Florida is too high and the water chillers looked expensive.  Can't wait to see them grow up.  Several month old ones were going for $30 and up last time I looked at them.

My ram has decided he's an angel as well.  I'm used to seeing Rams at the bottom of the tank.  But he tends to tag along behind the angelfish until feeding time.  The swordtail fry are getting bigger.  There's 4 of them now and we still have one very large female who has to be ready to give...

    75 Gallong Angelfish Tank

We ended up with 10 between Horned Striped Nerites and Tiger Nerite...must be the xmas spirit.  Ended up with more than I wanted.  lol.

Lol.  That's what my daughter said.  That's the golden marbled one.  I tried to get his other side so that you can see the marbling pattern.  The pure gold and pure silver are still growing into their colors.  Yeah, some folks like natural plants...my wife likes the bright colors.  Since she's...

Group size is dependnent on if you intent to breed them.  They say 6 so that you up your odds of getting a mating pair.  I only intended to get the original 4...but I'm not about to turn down a quality fish for free.  lol.  I'm still working the photo issue.

    75 Gallong Angelfish Tank

Based on the error message, I'd say it's an issue with Flickr and the site.  I have issues with photobucket. lol.  Oh well.  Just means it wasn't meant to be.  I've got another female swordtail ready to spawn...so I'm trying to ensure the tank parameters are pristine...my quarantine tank is...

Tried to post pictures, but apparently I can't use Flickr on this Forum.

    75 Gallong Angelfish Tank

I took that into account and made sure that there are plenty of sight break ups and areas each can claim.  I only ordered 4 but since I got one for free, I'm thinking of adding one more to make it an even six...the odd number annoys me a little.  The female swords are dying after they spawn. ...

The swordfish started spawning fry...sadly they will probably be eaten as I added angelfish today.  I ordered 4 and was given 1 extra for free, which was a welcome surprises.  Letting them get adjusted to the new tank slowly.  I also received a shipment of nerite snails...definitely got more...

CrimsonBoli, you are correct. Lol. I should have been more specific and written that with the exception of Oscars, I've primarily been a South African cichlid person. Particularly Mbunas...love me some hornet/bumblebee cichlids.

    75 Gallong Angelfish Tank

I just got transferred to Florida and am starting my tank up again.  I cycled the tank with SafeStart and Peppered Corys.  I know many people frown on using fish to cycle tanks.  Unfortunately I wasn't able to find any medium to use.  That being said, it's been three weeks and the fish are...

New 33G Tank, Need Sanity Check

I have the play sand in and mixed it with eco-complete which gives the tank a nice look. I planted Wisteria, java fern on driftwood, and am floating some anacharis. I'm waiting on the java moss to come in and will add a few fish in a day or two now that cycling is complete.

New 33G Tank, Need Sanity Check

Nope, that would be a waste of a good start to a tank, and I'd have to cycle again. I may just get plant and add fish since it looks like the water will be suitable shortly. Most likely some glowlight tetras. They're my starter fish of choice.
