George lived happily alone in an unfiltered, unheated 6 gallon tank for several years (I changed his water weekly). The temperature stayed around 72 degrees. Aladdin is very happy in a 10 gallon, heated, filtered tank with some corys. Each fish is different, but for me, both types of set-ups...

My betta is dark blue, unless you use a flash to take a photo, and then he is a lighter blue. Will post a photo later once I move it from my camera to the PC.

Until recently, I have always kept my male bettas in individual tanks. I moved Aladdin into a heated, filtered 10 gallon along with 5 albino cories recently. He is thriving in that environment. Previously I had a different betta in the 10 gallon tank by himself, but he seemed to be stressed...

I am so sorry for your loss. Years ago we were without power for four days and I lost every single fish in my 40 gallon tank. It was probably 15 years before I dared to set up a tank again. I'd like to get a generator just to protect my fish!

:good: Very nice looking fish and not bad for $14. My very first betta was from PetSmart, similar to Petco, and he lived with me for 3 years -- longer than any other betta, including those from breeders.

Not a male betta, but female bettas. They ignored each other. The Harlequin Rasboras pretty well stick to themselves.

I moved Aladdin (blue superdelta male betta) into a 10 gallon heated, filtered tank with 7 albino cories. All are doing well and get along great.
