    i am no expert. i had my tank already setup b4 i even knew what multis were at the time. i bought them, with some shells, and they lived in the shells for some time (approx. 3 weeks), now they live in the rocks, as you describe....sorry im no more help..... :blush:

    Nice eel. i have one about 2 ft long as well. he is housed with a 2 & 1/2Ft Arowana, a 2 ft Clown Knife, and a 2Ft Marble Pim Cat.....The eels are very friendly, and very easy to care for.
