the elegance seems to be doing much better....althought the tentacles are bearly extended ... it is open more now and the tentacles are extending more than they used to....perhaps its finally acclimating? hopefully it will survive.... :D

it was chemi-clean....and i would highly recommend this...i used it 1 week ago and w/in 12-24 hours everything was crystal clear....best of luck w/ this but i would definetly use the chemi clean.....much cheaper than a powerhead or other units.....also quicker...if perhaps money isnt an issue...

how about using bottled water, such as poland springs or something? would that be better? the problem is its expensive! so i'm probably better off just buying an RO right? about how much are they....and where can i get one really cheap?

thats the thing tho, when it was in the hospital tank it wasn't happy and it didn't swim around it just sat on the bottom, almost as if it was dead, but it was breathing....also the medicine wasn't really working...i think the hospital tank caused more stress than anything else....i have a sick...

Hi all... i recently purchased a tomato clown for my 55 gallon tank...it has white spots on it and i'm afraid its sick...the man at the store told me it was ick....i treated it for 2 days w/ the medicine (the bottle said 3 would cure it) and nothing seemed to happen....the problem was it was in...

if i use tap water conditioner i should be alright ... right? ...i assume yes....especially since my green button polyp is doing so well....its an amazing green and i've never seen any that color before...online in pictures so i'm very happy...also its exteneded and split / jumped off the rock 3...

alright i'll try that....keeping the tank as stable as possible.....hopefully in about a week or so it will acclimate better...for now thanks for the help....close this forum i'll post another in a few weeks if its necessary....thanks everyone for the help! -blue

since i moved it up the rock it has opened up a little bit but the tentacles arn't coming out they're short and stubby.....this unknown condition...wouldn't it have affected it in the store......b/c it had been at that store for a month or two and it was doing quite well....i dont know but...

nice to know for next time...but suggestions for this time? also i've done at least 3 water changes since then...using tap, but i use tap water conditioner to make sure there are no bad crap in it.....i havent seen ityet this morning...maybe its doing better:-\ hopefully

i have a 2 month old 55 gallon tank....and i had the exact same problem ... red cyano....i went to my local pet store and he had this powder for it....took care of the problem in 10 hours! i added it....its reef safe and fish safe and invert safe..........added it and 24 hours later did a 20%...

thanks for the luck...haha....i acclimated it by first putting the bag it was in in the tank....i waited 30 minutes for water temp to become the same....then i punched a few small holes in teh bag so the water could slowly diffuse....after about another 1/2 hour i put it in the sand bed.....this...
