What is your ph at , the more acidic the water the faster the cycle , trying raising the ph to 8.5 with some bicarb if its low.

Hi Peter , They are mixed but have been qt properly together(some are Asian from David Lai and the some are German Stendekers) , I have not had any problem with them and they have all been together for months. But the Alenquer was sold this afternoon I am afraid.

No I mean freshwater the tank does have a sump but it has been set up for freshwater(it had Discus in it) , and I am based in the UK

If you want to pass diseases from one tank to another it is , the proper way to cycle a tank is to do a fishless 6 week(on average) Ammonia cycle. I would like to see you start a Discus set up using media from someone else tank , you will wipe the lot out within a week of putting them in there...

Just leave her and watch , the chances are you will only get one or two survive in a community tank anyway , but its superb watching her spit them out and gather them all up again , if you want to keep them remove her to a seperate tank.
