Sorry to hear about that. It isn't normal at all and I would at a guess say that the black molly was pregnant when you bought her but the stress might have caused her to miscarry. It could be something else but that is the most likely.

It looks like a few of my females have finally given birth.I am now mum to about 30 fry of different sizes. I think that it must have been awhile ago and they are just coming out of hiding.The adults in the tank seem to be ignoring them and only chse them if they get too close.

Had my tank with fish for about 6 weeks now.All guppies of various colours but still no babies. I must admit that I am letting nature take it's course and not using any breeding traps,but just letting them go in the main tank.They have plenty of hiding places but still no signs of any babies...

Hi there, You may have better luck if you post this in another area of the forum. Gouramis are egg layers so you couldn't have bought a pregnant female.She might be full of eggs though. I hope that you get the answers you are looking for. ;)

I aggree that glass tanks are much better. When I had my gerbils they were so messy.Always flicking stuff out of the cage.
