    External Filter Under 300Mm High

Hi, thanks for the pics and explanation, although I don't think it would be suitable for my tank, my lid is solid with a smallish feeding lid in the middle, and it's made of plastic, which I wouldn't like to try cutting into, as I'd be afraid of it cracking, looks like I'll have to stick to an...

    External Filter Under 300Mm High

Hi thanks for the reply, I am not familiar with hob filters, my tank has a lid on it, so I guess this means a hob filter is out of the question? Thanks

    Nerite Snail Eggs

Forgot about this until I returned to my lfs today, it definitely says there apple snails ( I'd begun to doubt myself ) and the ones at the shop are big! But not for sale, there breeding stock. There certainly not hiding them either. Hopefully the link above won't take effect.

    Nerite Snail Eggs

I decided against them for now, the egg laying has put me off to be honest, interesting fact regarding the eggs holding lots of eggs within themselves, I opted for some apple snails in the end.

    Nerite Snail Eggs

Will tiger barbs or kribs eat the nerite snail eggs as I here they end up all over the tank rather unsightly?

    Will Cold Water Kill Bacteria

The only reason I used only cold water was because there was no fish in the tank, and it seemed far easier using the hose pipe than using buckets for 200 litres of water at 11pm, future water changes will be done with both hot and cold water to get the temperature right, this was purely a one...

    Will Cold Water Kill Bacteria

Just had a bit of a panic, my tanks just recently cycled ( fish less ) so I have just done a big water change to get rid of the nitrate so,I can get some fish tomorrow, so I refilled the tank up with cold water only through a hose pipe for convenience, as I had no fish in there I didn't see any...

Both results are zero again :) Can I just ask why you suggest dropping the ammonia dose? Why do I not carry on dosing 3pm, just curious? Both results are zero again :) Can I just ask why you suggest dropping the ammonia dose? Why do I not carry on dosing 3pm, just curious? Mmmmmm that post...

5 Weeks Into Cycle ( Water Change?)

Good news! Both tanks Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 20 After doing a bit of searching regarding zero nitrates, it appears I wasn't shaking the test bottle enough prior to testing, so are we safe to say the tanks are cycled? I won't be putting any fuss in till the weekend, so will keep...
