It’s possible, but I don’t think, because his tummy was bloated before the open wound happened. I’m thinking something was going on internally within him. But I’ll keep my eye on my other fish around the plants.
Yes, I’m doubtful that it is the plants that caused this really, hence the swollen stomach prior to the open sore that had formed. Maybe it was just born with, or formed some internal issues. Like what you said. Well, at least it isn’t suffering now anyway.
Can you explain? Are they not good for aquariums? I did have a few real plants before but they died and went all limp so I went for synthetic afterwards. I tried to not go for super pointy plants. They are more leafy.
What else is/was in the tank?
I have 5 other guppies, and Ramshorn snails. For the decor, I just have a couple of synthetic plants and then I have a chunk of Mopani wood with Java moss on it. I just hope my other guppies don’t get the same fate. They look fine so far, fingers crossed.
