These latest ones are very greyish/brownish, and my platy fry were orange or blue. So maybe they're guppies! They also seem very skinny. Only thing is....the mommy guppies all still have their gravid spots...

Hi guys I have now raised quite a few platy fry in the last couple of months and find them fascinating to watch. I also have guppies in my tank and I can't be sure if the last few fry i've rescued are platy or guppy - what do i look for to distinguish between the two? Thanks!!

Hi guys I've noticed that 1 of my female guppies seems a bit different to my other 3 female guppies. This one seems to have a very dark tail end with a darker moon shaped spot on the tail and is much bigger than the other 3 which are quite pale and have transparent tails with yellowish comet...

Thanks for that guys! I now know that i have 1 red wagtail, 2 blue, 2 red, 1 black panther and 1 red tuxedo, and looks like 4 red tuxedo fry. Annastasia thanks for the links, it was lovely to see all the different colour combinations.

Hi guys Well, last night i decided to rescue my 1 platy fry and get him/her into a breeder net so he doesn't get eaten.
