guppies dwell mostly on the top of the tank, if your guppy fries are there swimming on the top then you are on the right track, jus ensure they don’t get sucked up by filters and if you can spend a few bucks get a heater and keep them constantly on 81 or 82 f as they grow faster in this temp...

Mostly guppies isolate during their labor, this is only normal unless there are other problems with your water parameters, keep your tank well airated..

I’d suggest that you simply use a porous sponge instead of this cartridge (biological filteration) for mechanical filteration your polyester stuff I’d good to go. Ensure to place porous filter as the first thing that comes in contact with the water followed by your polyester stuff on top of that...
