Currently : Fluval Edge 6 Gal : small black substrate 1 piece of bogwood (left) 1 piece of mopani wood (right) 2 Anubias nana 1 Lilaeopsis brasiliensis 2 live moss balls 5 fake plants (3 back left, 2 back right)

Its a sealed top tank (other then an opening where he can breath and can maintain the tank etc) so I never really expected him to make a nest :)

This is the first Betta I have kept, had him around 2 months now, the nest may only be small, but it's a start :) This is Carlos flaring And here he is just happily swimming around

Maybe he keeps knocking it on something so it wont grow back :/ (sorry for high-jacking the thread >.< )

Where abouts has the scale been knocked off?

My Betta has never tore his fins on either of my bogwood, its relatively smooth :) He did bash his head on one of them and knocked a scale off but it grew back in a day or two and he didn't seem to bothered

Thank you :) I personally like the natural look, (would rather have sand then my substrate) so maybe some bogwood / rock, sand and live plant :) do you have any photos of your tank atm?

This is where my Betta, 'Carlos' lives, along with some tetra, he normally sits amung the anubias :nod:
