I am thinking of upgrading my tank but had hoped to have saved up a bit more first- is now the time? Is there any hope of getting rid of such stuff?

Could this be rust? When deep cleaning today I discovered some rusty stuff at the bottom of the aquarium- will do a thorough wash out tomorrow and restart!

30%-50% king British fin rot treatment

This is what I find covering my rocks pretty much daily and my ceramic media is filthy too despite a thorough vacuum every week

It doesn’t it wipes off really easily!

My heater in my betta tank is set to 25C. Throughout the summer it has been a constant 24. Because the nighttime temperature outside has been down as low as 3C my tank seems to be dropping to 22C at night when I wake up in the morning. When I get home it's always up again to it's constant 24C...

I think he is getting worse! I’m not sure if this is a coincidence but this all happened when I went back to work from summer break (I am a teacher in the UK) there are far less people around at home- could he be bored, stressed or lonely?
