    Anaerobic zone myth?

Just step on anaerobic soil yesterday while trying to catch tadpole in the natural puddle. That’s why I have this question.

    Anaerobic zone myth?

Is the danger of anaerobic zone a myth? I recently observed that the substrate, which is 26.5 cm deep, in my mini planted pond is anaerobic, there's a hydrogen sulfide smell when I poke it but the inhabitants are still doing well. It happens in the natural puddle as well.

I understand your concern. I apologise if it seems selfish to consider moving when I know Australia is dealing with serious issues too. If anyone there worry about me spreading any religion there then no, I’m non-religious. If I did move to Queensland, would I be accepted there?

Honestly, the politic is horrible here in Thailand. Our side won the vote but ended up with the other side due to corruptions. Building project take 10 years to finish, the rich releasing invasive blackchin tilapia then blamed it on hobby. I used to have hope but now thinking that I really can’t...

    Fairy shrimp

For freshwater planted aquarium, the tank is outdoor. Is it possible to feed them without green water?

What’s the point of using filter?

The reason I make this thread is because there are many tadpoles in my plants bucket, so high bioload. The system seems to already at its balance and I figure that there is no need for filter both in aquarium and pond.

What’s the point of using filter?

In a planted tank, I don’t see the difference between using filter and not. It doesn’t make much sense to me, as long as there’s enough oxygen, beneficial bacteria should be enough?

    Plants Bucket

Just want to show you guys this outdoor bucket I set up a few months ago. It isn’t the best looking one but still do I think. The plants includes; Echinodorus ‘Rosé’, Echinodorus uruguayensis, Alocasia cucullata, Lepironia articulata, and another Sedge species that grow submerged underwater...
