    Co2 Problems

Hi All, I recently Installed a Nutrafin CO2 system to hopefully benifit my new plants. ANyway I put it on last night and turned off the bubble wall. Within 6 hours all the fish were at the top gasping for air. Am I doing anything wrong?

    Co2 & Bubble Wall

Thanks again mate...... The CO2 is coming out at a rate of 24 bubbles per min. PH is at 6.6 I don't have a KH tester but I live in london so I assume I have pretty hard water. Am I right in assuming that aiming my filter output to the surface is the same as turning my buble wall back on?

    Co2 & Bubble Wall

It's been 6 hours since i put on the CO2 and turned off the bubble wall. Now they are all at the top including the knife fish (which hardly ever comes out!) Do they need time to adjust to the extra CO2 in the water or should I turn the bubbles back on ASAP

    Co2 & Bubble Wall

Hi All, I've recently put a whole new batch of plants in my aquarium so I thought i'd install a diy co2 unit (yeast based system). Anyway, my question should I turn off my bubble wall for it to work effectively? I assume that the bubble wall will diffuse any CO2 I'm injecting in there? My...

My Common Plec Has Internal Parasites, What Med Should I Use?

Hmmm Didn't think of that :/ I've never tried it like that b4. But they should stay intact, most wafers are designed to not desolve for prolonged periods under water so the grazing fish can eat them. Worth a try though if the wafers are all the plec is eating.

mmmmm Sounds nice! Also what you could try is soaking your algae wafers in garlic juice for a couple of hours before feeding. Hope this helps mate :good:

My Common Plec Has Internal Parasites, What Med Should I Use?

well i've heard it works well for internal parasites, and thats what ive used it for. I've had a few cases where the fish had long white stringy faeces (sp?) and garlic cleared it up within about a week

My Common Plec Has Internal Parasites, What Med Should I Use?

Have you tried shelled peas mixed with a bit of garlic. I've used it before with some good results, but the symptoms of my plec were not as severe as yours, but worth a try before you use meds. Good luck
