My bristlenose is almost 1 year old. He has been in good health his entire life and doesn't seem to be growing much. From nose to tail he is exactly 3.5 inches which seems to be very small? Could he be a different species as he doesn't have any visible "bristles" on his nose. Cheers

Hi I have a 10g with 5 Harlequin Rasbora and 2 Panda Corydoras. I would like more bottom feeders, i.e. more pandas, but all of my local fish stores have stopped selling them. Are they any alternatives I could get? Also could I get a centrepiece fish? Cheers

I thought Bronze/Albino Corydoras may be a bit too big. I am a bit reluctant to put the Panda's in the Betta aquarium as they prefer cooler tropical temperatures, hence why they were in the Community tank with Platies, Tetras and a BN. Maybe 4 Kuhlis are the better option then.

Argos Play Sand is excellent. I gave mine a very good rinse and it all settled straight away with no clouding. Fully recommended!

That size tank, nicely filtered, will be heaven for the Betta. Just make sure the filter doesn't produce too much current.

I've had to do this exact same process as you. One piece of advice is to get a pre-filter sponge for your HOB filter. If yours is like mine it has slots in the inlet so small debris can get sucked up and through the impeller, this needs to be modified with some stocking or a pre-filter sponge...
