Does anyone have thoughts on getting a planted tank going? Once the basics are set up, what is advisable for lighting, ferts, etc? And does a glass top work with floating plants or should I remove it?

I have a goldfish that’s been in a tank for about 4 years, and I recently decided to upgrade to a larger tank. Does anyone have tips for moving larger fish like that to a new tank? Just want to make sure everything goes smoothly.

Are you able to share the specific parameters? “In range” is hard to go off of:) how long has the tank been set up? Was it cycled completely before you added fish?

I just checked them out, they do seem extremely reasonable! What’s the shipping like? (Is there a reason to choose their website over eBay or vice versa?) Edit: upon further searching I don’t even see them on eBay, maybe they only sell on their website now?

There’s a tank I’d like to use to grow it out in, but it has a sponge filter at the moment. If I were to do the floaty thing and keep it isolated to the non bubbles side, would it grow okay? Just curious.
