    Thinking about it the Fluval 2 has that little blue pipe inside the outlet pipe which I suppose you could use if connected to the airline. Is that what you're saying ? Thanks for your help.

    It was more to do with the currents being produced by the bubbles rising and therefore pushing the current away from the inlet section on the filter where the water is usually sucked into. There is nowhere else to really place the stone. Thanks

    Hello there, Can the filter power/outlet not be lowered at all ? I had the same problem with a few of my smaller fish at the beginning and I lowered the power of the filter but tilted it slightly to ensure that the surface was still being rippled.
