    I think I have that tank figured out. I have only lost 2 neons. Which is good. In another tank, I used to have 3 powder blue gouramis. One come to find out had a bad eye (I think he was blind in one eye). Apparently, the other two gouramis picked on that one and would come up on its blind side...

    I do use the test strips and that is because the liquid test kits I have seen are expensive. My nitrate is 20, nitrite is 0, Total hardness is Hard (150), Total Alkalinity is about 180 and the pH is about 7.2.
