IMO, it would be best for all concerned (including you) if they could give birth in their home environment where they are comfortable and settled. You will need to assess the likelihood of survival of the fry if you do things that way. Otherwise work out a way to separate them as I mentioned...

Yes, good luck julie.   I only have two shrimp in my 90 litre tank but I find their mischievous antics fascinating and more interesting to watch than my fish at the moment  

I think you'll find the consensus will suggest you have too much light, the wrong kind of light and/or too many nutrients.   Stay tuned for the technicalities on how to adjust those things     ....and for what it's worth, I like your set up, it's similar to mine except I have river pebbles...
