i am trying to start a new planted 55 tank and i would like to know whats the basic set i could use to get some low lighters growing for now ? i have a led light right now with two whisper 30 filters and a heater i also have gravel laced with eco complete and flourite. do i need anything else??

I was coming home tonight and someone gave me a free 90 gallon tank ! I'm no newbie I've had a few planted 10s and 30s this would be my biggest tank yes I want it as a bedroom tank for my apartment. I wanted to do.a planted setup for maybe a tetra tank or maybe a pirahna tank ! Go !!!!!

How long to rinse it ?

It was Brown sand and it had additives in it . It wasn't pure like aquarium sand other rocks n stuff were in it.

I scratched the whole plan I bought the wrong sand I bought home depot play sand .... A friend of mine told me you could buy sand cheaper from there but it just turned the water Brown

If I did a water change would that help ...its 50 pounds of sand....is there any other options

No I did not I just poured it in actually , I put 50 pounds in a 30 gallon tank. Should I take some out ?

What is proper way to introduce sand into an aqurium every time I try and use sand the water becomes ridiculously cloudy I took my fish out but now it just looks like a box of cloudy water.....

My betta attacked by a chiclid ...long story ...his fins were nipped really bad I put him in a tank he started growing fungus on his fins so I moved him to a vase and put in some tablets to cure the fungus and I put in some fish first aid products ..I don't know what to do I don't want him to die.

i was actually considering going to sand by the thing is i have a planted tank .... and i use laterite and a iron supply in my fish tank so idk what to do ..dont plants die when there planted in sand?

i have recently acquired 2 convict chiclids i rescued form a friend. i have a 3o gallon Tall tank i could put them in for now ...any suggestions on plants rocks and decorations..water chemistry???
