this has happened with me also. the problem was that the molly found a small enough and big enough rock in the gravel to get it stuck in its mouth. i had to use needle to take it out. obviously it freaked out the fish but a day later it went back eating and lived for another year. so i hope this...
oky i know exactly what your going through. the shock of a pothos becoming a water plant is somewhat a bit too much. what you can do is make new cuttings like this
after that DON NOT PUT INSIDE OF TANK let the cutting inside of a cup of water. old fish water is best. after the pothos is used...
oky you can get a small bucket fill it with water that conditioned. try to catch the fry(baby fish) and put them in there. after that add some plants for hiding and have setup until you can get a filter (sponge filters are best). the food you can feed them is powdered fish flakes.

i just got some new male for my females. as of right now both of my new males are not interested with the females. if the female is new then just give it some time and eventually they'll breed . BTW if your tank is big enough, try to add another sunset lyre tail.
