Hi. I’m looking at the dose for baths. I want the rate for keeping the salts in the tank. He’s too stressed for baths. He is also on antibiotics. I read today 1 teaspoon per 19 gallons??

Gosh I read half a teaspoon for 23 US gallons, that’s a massive difference. This is why I am confused. I don’t want to do it.

It’s probably too late to save my panda oranda from dropsy. But can anyone help me with the dosage. He’s in a 90 litre hospital tank. I thinks that 24 US gallons.

Yep more black coming through this morning on her fins. Looks like I’m in for tri-colour lol! At least no more open wound at all now, just the black scales.

Happened before the injection. Started about 4 days after the ulcer was quite red. Poor bubba! She’s a strong fish that’s for sure. I do hope the black passes. Not a fan but love her either way.

She had the black around the mouth originally, but the rest is a result of the wound. The vet said they throw black pigment out when they have trauma. She said it may or may not stay. I think the area of black around the wound is starting to diminish as the scales drop off.

Thanks for all your advice. I have barely slept I am so worried. The so medicated food contains a broad spectrum antibiotic I am guessing? At the moment I am using tri-sulfa in the water and melafix. Should I continue with that until I find some food? I do have some aquaricycline otherwise?

And I will contact quarantine, once a vet has confirmed diagnosis. I am actually getting furious about this. This poor fish arrived in putrid water and was on her side. I was surprised she survived and clearly she hadn’t been fasted before overnight shipping. What is the best way to help the...
