I agree with you all.    Yes i will be keeping african cichlids and my water has a ph of around 7.5 with a hardness of 500ppm 

Hi Thanks for your reply eaglesaquarium. I saw bubbles when i put vinegar in but mainly where there were small crack it could be just vinegar going in and making bubbles. I saw the vinegar reaction with the rock it wasn't same rocks i have.   Pet shops don't really sell rocks here,
