I understand that you want to treat the fish but I would say adding all the medication before you have fully cycled might make for more issues.   I would read the beginners guide and make sure you understand it, then go through the cycle (water changes etc). Don't be tempted to add more fish...

I wouldn't give up on a fish I like. I had Neon's when I first set up my tank, I lost 3 but I think that's because I wasn't fully cycled. I now have a schol of 8 and they look great! So peaceful and bright! I also have Gourami and guppies! All look great together and live together peacefully...

I'm pretty sure from your posts that your tank is not cycled fully. Unless you put the old SPONGES from your old filter iun to your new one the bactria will not have transferred. Being you have 0 nirite and 0 amonia, that's good but 0 nirAte means the tank isn't cycling fully. Your fish could be...

I don't think there is a hard and fast rule as to when you should release them, I think the general rule is that you should let them out once they are big enough not to be eaten, but i have waited until they are big enough to be accepted as a fully grown fish x

Hi there, I would suggest waiting alittle longer. I had 10 fry that we're exactly the same size and age (well about a week older) and I released them, I am now down to 6 :( as 4 were killed within 10 minutes of being free! It was my neon tetra's and 1 of the male guppies I have that killed...

Hi Delta, Thanks for the reply :) I've done that and it's on the correct settings, I've also checked the motor as there seems to be quite alot of people who have had issues with getting the impeller going again.....but it all seems fine. Now where I've fiddled so much the tank is very dirty...
