I've already got a smaller tank which has been running for a few months. I have just bought a bigger one, with a stand. So i won't be adding fish for a while, once this tank has been set up i'm going to use all the things from other tank incuding the filter media. Thanks for the replys Andy

Hi, I have just bought a tank with and it came with a filter, but the filter had no instructions, it's a elite jet-flow 100, the filter came with a spray bar, Is it worth fitting the spray bar or is it better to use the jet head of the filter?? Thanks Andy

Hi, I have previously done a fishless cycle and had the water tested, all other fish are ok. I have 2 guppy's and the other one is fine. Just got home from work and noticed something at the middle/rear of the fish which looks like a white fur?? Also the above mentioned fish is pretty liveless...

i did a water change before i went out earlier, just come home and at least he's moving now, still doesn't look happy :sad:

I haven't bought a test kit yet, going to take a sample over to my LFS on friday, my next day off :unsure: the tank is 60L and is 77 deegrees, i've got a few danios and cherry barbs in there, with 3 guppys.

Hi, I have been watching one of my guppy's and for the last day he has been floating near the top of the water and hardly moving, my tank has been running for a month now and i have had no other problems, all other fish look heathy? He is still feeding but that is it? Any advise?? ANdy

Hi, Thanks all for your replies, the temp is set at 72, which was the temp of the his goldfish bowl before. I have checked out a few other posts, as normal there is conflicting information depending which one you read. I would rather leave him in the aquarium, than back in the tiny fishbowl...

Hi, Just finished settin up my first tank, filter and heater are now running. i have treated the water from the tap and added biological supplement. Is there anything else i can do and any advise from anyone about testing and which fish i should put in first?? Andy

cheers mate, i wanted to put a few different types in there before i put fish in, how many plants would you recommend in a 115L, 2 foot tank?
